Options for Historical Summary Plots
Three options for Data Source are available:
- preliminary - raw, unchecked data indicating the
variation in the magnetic field. Available in near real-time.
- definitive - magnetic field data corrected for baseline variations. These data are not made available until some time after the event (typically a few months after the end of each year).
- best available - definitive data if available otherwise preliminary data. The type of data is labeled on the right side of the plot beside each of the stations.
Scale: (vertical)
- fixed scale is determined from the maximum positive
and negative variations from the mean for all components for all
stations.
- variable scale is determined from the positive and negative variations from the mean for all components for a station.
Plot style:
- solid displays the data using a solid line with gaps for missing data.
- dotted displays each data point as a dot.
Plot Background:
- white turns colour coding off.
- colour turns colour coding on.
